One of our family favorites is a perfectly cooked prime rib, so all our love is poured into this blend of spices - making a prime rib perfect, or a less expensive cut prime!
Prepare prime rib roast the night before serving by rubbing generously with our Prime Rib Rub. Place in a ziploc bag and refrigerate. Bring roast to room temperature (beginning about 2 hours) before cooking. Place roast ina roasting pan with rack, fat side up and fill bottom of pan with 2 inches of water. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes (regardless of size), then reduce oven to 325 degrees and cook 1-2 1/2 hours more (depending on size) until meat thermometer reads 10 degrees shy of desired final temperature. (Rare: 120-125, Med-Rare 130-135, Medium 140-145, Med-Well 150-155, Well Done 160). Rest and slice to serve.
